Who Are We?

My name is Dwight Brown and I am the Co-Founder and Lead Consultant with Crime Prevention Consultants.  I've spent 20 years as a law enforcement officer gaining extensive experience in many areas of crime and crime prevention.  As a patrol officer and undercover Narcotics Detective,  I've investigated countless crimes giving me insight into why and how crimes are committed.  While working in the jail system dealing directly with criminals, I gained a great deal of knowledge on how and why they chose their victims. This gives me a unique insight and direction in the type of training we offer at CPC.

In addition to receiving extensive training as both a military and civilian police officer,  I've continued my education in many areas pertaining to crime suppression and prevention, gang awareness, weapons training and more.  Currently I am a volunteer committee member for the Sacramento Crime Alert Organization, the Sacramento chapter of Crime Stoppers International. I am also a member of the California Crime Prevention Officers Association.

Hello, my name is Lynne Richard-Brown and I'm the Founder of C.P.C. and CPC's non-profit, Stay Safe Seminars.  I am also a volunteer Board member and Publicity/Fundraising Chair with the Sacramento Crime Alert organization.

I have been involved in crime prevention and training for the last 25 years and I hold certifications in Basic Forensics, Police Procedure and Terminology, and Criminal Justice Procedure.

I also know what it's like to be the victim of a violent crime  having been assaulted in a parking lot many years ago.  I know that the self defense tools I had previously learned and practiced played a key role in the positive outcome of the attack.

CPC is proud to have participated in national crime prevention, victims rights and child abuse prevention events. Some of the individuals and organizations that we work with are:
*National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
*The Klaas Kids Foundation
*Surviving Parents Coalition
*Sacramento Crime Alert
* Ed Smart
* RadKids
* Wynspring

We are proud to support and work with these committed and effective organizations.

"Don't you love to feel at ease and confident in your ability to do something well? I know I do, especially where my family is concerned.  Most programs that call themselves "personal safety programs" teach one dimension of personal safety: self defense. That's like teaching a child to tie just one shoe or look one direction before crossing the street.  Our safety experts teach you the four major skills needed for personal safety: Awareness, Avoidance, Escape and Self-Defense. " Lynne Richard-Brown, CPC Founder
